Rachel's Approach
Rachel is a passionate Psychotherapist and Art therapist (Qualifying) with a vast array of experience supporting diverse populations. Her approach is deeply client-centred by using what the client is seeking - whether it is talk therapy, art therapy, meditation, mindfulness - her primary goal is ensuring that each person feels truly heard and seen as they embark on their journey toward healing and self-discovery.
In her practice, Rachel uses an approach that connects client’s goals with their mind, body and spirit - when all parts are connected and in tune with the needs of the individual, the healing that can seem heavy can open up to a world of possibilities. Her practice focuses on helping each client learn how to get to know themselves and their world deeply; this world lives inside each and every one of us - ultimately helping us connect to our strengths by facilitating growth through attunement of the self.
With a strong foundation in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and art therapy, Rachel facilitates holistic and culturally aware sessions where the clients have autonomy; leading them in the direction they desire to go, at their own pace. By creating a collaborative and supportive environment, she helps clients find their voice, expressing themselves freely with traditional talk therapy, art therapy - or a combination of both - and helps to develop effective coping strategies.
At Whitehouse Psychotherapy, Rachel is committed to empowering clients through art, psychoeducation, and a strengths-based approach, guiding them toward healing and personal growth.
